Instructions before and after permanent makeup

Before

A week before the procedure, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and other products that may increase the risk of bleeding. Do not consume alcohol or caffeine at least 24 hours before the procedure, as these can also increase the risk of bleeding and skin sensitivity. Avoid tanning or using a tanning bed, as this can make the skin more sensitive and affect the results of the procedure. Be aware that after the procedure, there may be swelling, redness, and peeling.

After

Gently clean the area with products recommended by the specialist. Avoid rubbing or scratching the area. The specialist may recommend a specific balm or cream to keep the area moisturized and speed up the healing process. Avoid using makeup on the treated area for at least one week. Protect the area from the sun and avoid tanning beds until the area is fully healed. Sweating can affect the healing process, so refrain from intense exercise during the first few days after the procedure. Permanent makeup may initially appear darker or more intense than the final result. The pigmentation will soften and become more natural over the next few weeks. If you notice unusual redness, pain, or other signs of infection, contact your specialist immediately. Follow the technician’s aftercare instructions to maintain long-lasting beautiful results.

PERMANENT MAKEUP

Eyebrows, lips, or eyeliner emphasize the natural beauty of the face. The shape of the eyebrows or lips can be restored. Permanent makeup can correct facial asymmetry, accentuate the shape of the eyebrows or eyes and lips, ensuring a fresher and more youthful appearance, and saving a lot of time in the mornings when spent in front of the mirror doing makeup.

PERMANENT MAKEUP VS. TATTOOING – WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM?

Tattoo artists capture emotions for their clients with drawings made on the skin, mostly to capture an important event in their lives. Permanent makeup is similar to tattooing, but the difference is that it is not done as deeply into the skin as tattoos. Special pigments and equipment are used in permanent makeup. As a result, the pigments last longer on the skin. Facial skin is much thinner and more delicate than body skin, so the process of permanent makeup differs significantly from tattoos. One must always be cautious and careful with permanent makeup, as facial skin is more sensitive.

Permanent makeup or micropigmentation is a solution for you if you want to look well-groomed and beautiful. It is suitable for individuals who are allergic to makeup products or have problematic facial skin that does not hold cosmetics, and for those who cannot handle makeup daily or are simply busy individuals. Additionally, this makeup does not smudge, allowing you to enjoy various activities – saunas, swimming, or engaging in sports without worrying if the makeup is still on.

Permanent makeup can correct various facial features – the shape of the eyes, lips, and eyebrows. It is not done as deeply as traditional tattoos, so the result stays on the skin for 1-3 years and gradually fades completely from the skin depending on the skin type.

You can pigment eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips. The new shape of eyebrows or lip contour done with permanent makeup is discussed individually with each client, and then the suitable new eyebrow shape, eyeliner, or lip contour is done. Therefore, before starting the work, a thorough consultation is conducted with the client, where the permanent makeup technician selects the appropriate shade and draws the new shape with a pencil. Permanent makeup is pigmented on the skin only after the client has approved their new eyebrow or lip shape.

EYELINER LINER ON EYELIDS

Irresistible beauty always begins with mesmerizing and beautiful eyes. With permanent makeup on the eyes, you can emphasize the eyes by filling the space between the eyelashes with permanent makeup and create beautiful accentuated eyeliner. Permanent makeup can further enhance your natural beauty. This procedure does not cause discomfort for the client, as a special numbing gel is used in the work. The result is flawless appearance, and a lot of time is saved in the future.

LIP CONTOUR AND SHADING

Perfectly shaped and beautiful full lips have always been every woman’s dream. Now it is possible to achieve this in reality. Lip permanent makeup visually enhances the lips. During this process, the suitable lip tone is selected for client, and the contour is first drawn with a pencil on the lips. Then, a color pigment is applied to the lips with a permanent makeup machine. The initial tone may differ slightly from the final result, but after the skin heals, the result is what you desired. Lip permanent makeup is an ideal solution for clients of all ages whose lips are dull and need a refresh. It is also suitable when the lip shape is lost due to conditions like herpes; with permanent makeup, you can have correct and beautiful lips after the first procedure.

MICROPIGMENTATION TOOLS

In micropigmentation work, single-use sterile tools are always used. The pigment is applied under the skin’s upper epidermis layer, and this process is not painful because a numbing cream is used on the skin. The entire work takes about 1.5-3 hours, and to achieve the best result, this process needs to be repeated once within a few months. Follow-up care is necessary to ensure the final result lasts better and the pigment is more intense. The follow-up care is performed 8-12 weeks later.

HIGH-LEVEL HYGIENE, TRAINING, AND 13 YEARS OF PERMANENT MAKEUP EXPERIENCE ENSURE CUSTOMER CONFIDENCE.

Our permanent makeup technicians have over a year of experience, ensuring all customers needs are met, and this also provides confidence that the work is done by a professional in the field, who follows all hygiene requirements using professional knowledge and skills in their work.

The result of permanent makeup is slightly darker in the first 3-4 days, after which the excess color fades from the skin. After making the eyeliner line, the eyes may be slightly swollen for a few days. The pigmented skin needs to be cared for with a special moisturizing cream for five days, and makeup products should not be used. Within a week, it is not recommended to visit a solarium, sauna, or pool, and strong sun exposure is advisable to avoid for a month.

WHY CHOOSE PERMANENT MAKEUP?

Permanent makeup is a solution for everyone with a fast-paced lifestyle or allergies to makeup products.  So what is permanent makeup really? It is a cosmetic facial tattooing, also known as permanent makeup or micro pigmentation, which involves using pigment colors under the skin’s surface layers. It resembles tattooing but the difference lies in the depth of the pigment injected into the epidermis. The color pigment applied to the skin is long-lasting for a few years, freeing you from daily makeup and the constant need to refresh the makeup to always look beautiful and natural. Opting for permanent makeup on eyebrows, eyes, and lips helps achieve self-confidence while providing assurance of its lasting results. It also fits perfectly for those engaged in sports, as in this case, there is no need to apply any makeup. You can also be worry-free on vacation trips and freely swim or be at the beach without worrying about the eyebrow pencil fading or the lipstick smudging. Everything stays on nicely and permanently.

WHO IS SUITABLE FOR PERMANENT MAKEUP?

Permanent makeup is suitable for everyone whose eyebrow hairs have thinned over the years or have irregular lip lined and dull eyes. Achieve a much fresher complexion with the effects of eyeliner or densification of eyelashes on those who do not grow their eyebrow hair or eyelashes. It is a good solution for actively engaged individuals in sports and those allergic to cosmetic products or with problematic facial skin.

PERMANENT MAKEUP PROCEDURE

The color pigment for permanent makeup is applied under the skin with a special device and a fine needle. When pigmenting the lips, a fine lip contour line is drawn, and the color is evenly shaded in the lip contour area. The lip color is always selected as close to the client’s natural lip color to ensure a natural result. When making the eyeliner line, the line is drawn between the eyelashes and slightly upwards, providing a natural eyelash densification effects.

HOW TO CHOOSE A PERMANENT MAKEUP SHADE?

There are several pigment shades for permanent makeup, and the suitable shade is always chosen by the permanent makeup technician. This ensures that each client gets only the shade that suits them. When choosing a color, the client’s skin tone, hair color, and their personal preference regarding the color are always taken into account.

PERMANENT MAKEUP FOLLOW-UP CARE

A follow-up or correction is always done for the client within three months after the initial procedure. You can never be sure how the skin will react to the pigment during the first procedure. During the follow-up, the stability of the color on the skin is always checked, and additional pigment is added if necessary.

IS BREASTFEEDING AN OBSTACLE TO PERMANENT MAKEUP?

It is not an obstacle. Permanent makeup is not contraindicated for breastfeeding mothers. However, we recommend coming for the procedure after breastfeeding.

Frequently asked questions

Our clients ask us daily many questions about permanent makeup. We hope that these questions are helpful and informative for you and help you find the right permanent makeup technician. We have compiled many important questions here that give our clients a perfect overview of our work and what can be achieved with permanent makeup. We continually add new questions and answers to our blog to keep our clients informed about the process of permanent makeup.

I have previously had eyeliner done by another technician, and it was a terrible experience, very painful, lots of bleeding, and swelling. Will I feel the same now?

Since we have extensive experience in permanent makeup, we can assure you that the experience with us will be completely different, and it certainly will not be as painful as it was with another technician. Many clients emphasize that permanent makeup with us is not painful, although the sensitivity threshold varies among different people. Nevertheless, we emphasize that only years of experience in this field give advantages that allow us to affirm that permanent makeup is not painful.

Will my eyebrows be shaved before permanent makeup?

Of course not! We work with the natural shape of your eyebrows. Initially, we start with your natural eyebrow shape, and then draw a new eyebrow shape with a pencil that accentuates your facial features, visually lifts the eyes, and gives a more natural result. This allows you to look several years younger!

When can I dye my eyebrows chemically after permanent makeup?

We recommend refraining from chemically coloring the eyebrows for as long as possible to avoid contact with the pigmented skin during the healing period. If you want to chemically dye your eyebrows, you should wait until the skin has healed, which generally occurs within 4-6 weeks. Then you can chemically dye your eyebrows.

What permanent makeup procedures are available?

There are several different permanent makeup procedures available: eyebrow permanent makeup, eye liner/eyelash densification effect, lip permanent makeup as a contour/full lip fill, beauty marks, areola, and camouflage.

Can eyebrows, lips, and eye permanent makeup be done all at once?

Yes, all of them can be done all at once on the same day. Most clients already know in advance if they can tolerate a larger volume of permanent makeup procedure in one day. Sometimes clients want to start with one or two permanent makeups initially. However, some clients want to do all three procedures at once to heal at the same time. This significantly saves time for the permanent makeup procedure, and the follow-up care is also done in one day, which usually occurs 8-12 weeks later.

How long does the permanent makeup procedure take?

We ask our clients to allow time for permanent makeup approximately 1.5-3 hours, depending on what they want to do. Before the final permanent makeup procedure, we conduct a thorough consultation with each client, discussing the entire process and providing instructions for home care.

Can I see the final result before the permanent makeup procedure?

During the consultation, we agree with the client on what the client wants to achieve as the final result. Usually, we discuss the shape of the pigmented eyebrows, lip shape, and eyeliner and choose the appropriate pigment color. We also discuss how we will do the eyebrows. There are different options for this. Initially, a new eyebrow line, lip contour, or eyeliner is drawn with a special makeup pencil on the skin to see if the shape suits and is liked by the client. Permanent makeup with a machine is started only after the client has approved the new shape.

Is the permanent makeup procedure safe?

The permanent makeup procedure is safe because it is done by a technician with long work experience, and therefore, the highest safety measures are considered when doing permanent makeup. All tools are always intended for single use, opened from the package in the presence of the client. This ensures the best hygiene requirements for the client.

How long does permanent makeup last? Does it wear off over time, and does it need to be refreshed?

Yes, it becomes lighter over time and needs to be refreshed. Most clients need pigment refreshment one to three years later. As for the pigment’s permanence, every client’s skin is different. Some factors to consider are:

– Lighter tones fade faster.

– Some clients naturally have skin that retains pigment better than others.

– Tanning can significantly reduce the permanence of permanent makeup.

Have clients had allergic reactions to permanent makeup, and when is it advisable to do an allergy test?

Allergic reactions to permanent makeup are very rare. If the client is allergic to dyes, this should be informed to the technician, who performs the appropriate allergy test before the procedure. Every client can do this test beforehand with their technician.

At what age can I do permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup can be done from the age of 18. It is never too early or too late to do it. With permanent makeup, you can correct beauty flaws or emphasize your facial features at any age.
