Instructions before and after hair extensions
Before
Wash your hair with a deep cleansing shampoo to remove product residue and oil. Avoid using conditioner or hair masks, as they can make the hair too smooth, making it difficult for the extensions to stay in place. If the ends of your hair are very layered or uneven, consider trimming them lightly before applying extensions to ensure better blending with your natural hair. Make sure your scalp is healthy and free from irritation. If your hair is extremely damaged, it may be helpful to treat it with masks or conditioning treatments before the procedure.
After
Wait at least 48 hours before your first wash to allow the extensions to bond properly. Use a moisturizing and sulfate-free shampoo to maintain the health of both the extensions and your natural hair. Avoid vigorous rubbing and wash your hair from the ends upwards. Apply conditioner and moisturizing masks only to the ends of your hair, avoiding the bonding areas. Pat your hair dry with a towel, do not rub. Use a blow dryer on a low heat setting and keep it away from the bonding areas. Brush your hair gently and regularly with a soft brush or wide-tooth comb. Start brushing from the ends and work your way up. Avoid using hot tools directly on the bonding areas.
