Our professional cosmeticians perform depilation using both warm wax and hard wax methods.
Depilation with hard wax
Hard wax is strong on hair but gentle on the skin, removing even short stubborn hair.
With hard wax, the procedure can be done using both the paper method and manual method. Our cosmeticians are proficient in both techniques, allowing you to choose the one that suits you best.
For delicate and sensitive areas, we use ItalWax and Lycon hard waxes, resulting in clean and smooth skin.
Our cosmeticians will select the most suitable wax and methodology for you, taking your preferences into consideration.
Initial depilation
The client who is undergoing depilation for the first time may not achieve ideal results immediately because hair follicles have growth and resting phases. Growth phases alternate with resting phases, but they do not occur simultaneously (otherwise, we would be bald at certain times since hair grows just like body hair – you notice hair fall out, but you don’t notice body hair fall out due to their small size). Each hair is in a different growth phase: some hairs are longer, while others are just growing out of the skin. Therefore, the wax does not adhere to all hairs equally. Consistent depilation damages all growth bulbs, resulting in the desired perfectly smooth skin. When coming for the first depilation, the hair should be 5-6 mm long.
If possible, avoid shaving between depilations, as regrowing hairs become stiffer and darker!

How should you prepare yourself?
Before
Do not go to the beach or tanning salon 24 hours before depilation!
Do not apply lotion immediately before depilation. If necessary, the cosmetician will do it with special tools.
Rest well – tired skin is more sensitive.
Be clean.
Inform the service provider of any particularities you may have if you believe it is important.
After
Do not sunbathe for 72 hours after depilation – pigment spots, skin irritation, etc., may occur.
Avoid hot procedures and rubbing the skin in the waxed area for 24 hours.
Avoid sweating and sports for 24 hours.
Do not use self-tanning products in the waxed area for 24 hours.
Makeup can be applied after depilation in the facial area 24 hours later, as pores may clog.
Home care and contraindications for depilation
To maintain long-lasting depilation results and keep your skin beautiful in all situations, it is essential to pay attention to its care.
Moisturize your skin daily in both summer and winter and exfoliate your skin a couple of times a week in the shower according to your skin type. This removes dead skin cells and prevents hair form growing under the skin and the formation of inflammation. Exfoliation makes the skin receptive to moisturizing cream and improves skin blood circulation.
Dry brushing is even more effective than exfoliation. Train yourself to do this every day before the shower and prefer natural fibre brushes and gloves. Your skin appears more elastic, healthier, with a uniform tone, and, even better, dry brushing reduces cellulite!
Tips for skin exfoliation
When using any exfoliating product, do not rub your skin too hard.
If you have sensitive skin and tend to enlarge capillaries, choose a gentle product and use it carefully.
Always start exfoliating your body from the left hand, following the circulation and towards the heart!
If your hair grows under the skin even after proper care, ask a cosmetician for advice, who can recommend special care products. However, if extensive folliculitis occurs (reddening, pus-filled, painful nodules – especially in the bikini and armpit areas), you should consult a dermatologist.
Contraindications for depilation
- Scar tissue (less than six months old) and skin injuries
- Hypersensitive and/or heat-sensitive skin; skin irritation reactions
- Infectious skin diseases (e.g., impetigo) or parasites (e.g., lice, scabies)
- Hemophilia (a bleeding disorder or clotting disorder)
- Varicose veins and thrombosis (vessel obstruction caused by blood clotting inside the vessel)
- Diabetes (slow healing of skin trauma)
- Erythema (chronic facial skin condition)
Note: Some contraindications do not mean that depilation cannot be performed – for certain contraindications, it is possible to avoid specific areas.
Inappropriate time for waxing
Overwhelmed, sleep-deprived client – the skin is more sensitive than usual.
Client who has recently had electrolysis or laser treatment in the depilated area – waxing distorts the hair follicle.
Client who has been to the beach or tanning salon within the last 24 hours.
Client using acne medications or steroid creams in the waxing area.
